The BMW R1200GS and R1200GS Adventure are motorcycles manufactured in Berlin, Germany by BMW Motorrad, part of the BMW group. It is one of the BMW GS family of dual sport motorcycles. Both motorcycles feature a 1,170 cc, 2-cylinder boxer engine with 4-valves per cylinder. The Adventure features a larger capacity fuel tank and longer travel suspension.

When we started dating he rode a Suzuki GSX-R series which is the top-of-the-line series of sport bikes made by Japanese manufacturer Suzuki.
We loved to speed down the highway on his crotch rocket. I think the statute of limitations would have expired by now, if the police are still trying to catch him. He spent more time on one wheel than two. Crazy to look back at it now.
After his motorbike accident, but especially after Daniel came along, he laid his bike speed demon hobby to rest, and searched for the perfect touring bike. R1200GS is the same bike Long Way Down and Long Way Round stars, Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman, rode around the world on. Whom by the way would be Alfonz’s friends if they lived in our hood!
