CAC34 put on another amazing show; FANFARONNADE in Capestang was made up of three street bands parading throughout the village gathering people as they played. In Pied Piper fashion, they all met in the town square with hundreds of residents following.
The 60-musician procession ended as a street party at the Maison du Peuple where they took turns playing.
The Fanfares ‘EYO’NLE from Bénin’, ‘Les mains sur le Capot’ and lastly ‘La Fanfare du Mivervois’ made up the entertainment for the evening.
Dozens of volunteers baked homemade quiches served with fresh carrot salad, bread, cheese and tapenas for 4€/plate and 1€/drink. Entrance was by donation. The road was closed off to the public and tables and chairs lined the streets.
The African band set up on the indoor stage, and a full two-hour performance started at 10:30 pm.
A memorable event!
