Whistler is always a great place to hang out with the family, with loads of activities for kids. If you’re taking in the views, spending the day skiing or zip lining or biking down the mountain side in to the tourist filled village below, there is something for everyone.This weekend was no exception. The sun shone down on us, the clouds occasionally sprinkled, and the beautiful elements of Whistler were at our feet.Shops were bustling with people and you could hear accents from around the world. Us ladies took in the sites by foot, and peeked into the variety of great shops in the village.My brand new camera Rebel T3i needed a back up battery and the folks at Foto Source were kind enough to charge it for me. Thank you!
I have included pictures of an Indian Sweet Shop we visited on our drive up. The Samosas we purchased came in handy when stuck in the Friday ‘rush to see the Canucks game’ traffic.
The first morning, around 6:30am, I looked out the window to catch a big black bear roaming on the golf course searching for truffles! ‘Is anyone awake?”
Our days were filled with leisure, our evening filled with chatter, and we ate yummy food along the way.
Our girls get away was fun and restful. With my family leaving for our big adventure around the corner, spending time with my posse was full of special moments of laughter and love never to be forgotten. Whistler is a great place for exactly that.
On our last visit, Maja and I slipped away for a massage at Scandinave Spa. They kept telling us to stop talking so loud, our voices carried across the peaceful setting even though we were the only ones there.
Mountains above our heads, evergreens surround us and pools full of warm water to soak in; from hot tubs, cold tubs and eucalyptus sauna rooms with infrared. Highly recommend this destination.
