My mommy’s recipe!
6 egg yolks
500 grams icing sugar
300 grams butter or shortening
500 grams flour
1 and half teaspoons baking powder
200 ml sour-cream
mix all together until smooth
add 6 egg whites beaten until fluffy to the mixture and roll in with a spatula
pour the mixture into greased pan
put cherries or blueberries on top (or apricots as we found out in France works too)
bake 175 C 35-40 minutes
And Enjoy. The cherries are so moist, the cake so soft when you eat this and it really is not too sweet. Our family favourite being so easy to make, plus a traditional Hungarian flavour.
