Surprisingly easy, we made homemade apple pie.

Crust

  1. 2 1/2 cups flour
  2. 1 cup butter
  3. 1 teaspoon salt
  4. 1 teaspoon sugar mix
  5. add a little water 6-10 tablespoons

Using a mixer add all the ingredients except the water into the bowl before turing it on. Add the water once the mixer is on low. After it has blended together, cut into two equal pieces, roll, cut into pie shape and place in the bottom of your pie dish, removing extra around the edges with a knife.

Roll the other piece in the same fashion

Put in filling and place the second piece on top, cutting a lovely pattern on the top to let the extra water from the apples escape when baking in the oven

Sprinkle with sugar or wash with egg wash

Bake Apple Pie between 350-400 degrees fahrenheit for 45 minutes

Filling In a large bowl mix:

  1. 10-12 apples peeled and cored, chopped into tiny pieces
  2. 1 cup sugar (or less)
  3. 1 lemon rind
  4. 1-2 tablespoons cinnamon
  5. 1-2 tablespoons butter
