There are three little places for good cheap snacks and food that I have to share from my last trip to Budapest Hungary.

#1 Cool Café is a coffee shop in the winter and an ice cream stand in the summer that conveniently opens onto the street. This is on route to the Danube River and we passby during our daily walks. At least once a day we stop and let the kids have a cool treat or a warm drink, on our way towards the Danube River.

#2 Istanbul Restaurant on Karoly Street Ferenciek metro/bus stop, is a cafeteria-style hole in the wall where all the locals love to go. The food is always fresh, and a good variety for everyone in the family, even my picky eater. We can all eat for about 3000 forint !

# 3 Szamos cafe is on a side path off the Vaci walking street and they have outdoor chairs for people watching and a variety of yummy pastries to try. They also have ice cream in the summer served outside and handmade chocolates in the display window that are delicious.
