With thousands of people from around the world reading our posts each week, many of you may not know what House Hunters International is. It is a television program based out of London and New York that finds people, like us, who buy a house in another country.

Suzanne Whang hosts this spinoff of the wildly popular HGTV House Hunters.  Globetrotting from Sao Paolo to Prague, home hunters and their real estate agents check out all sorts of architectural styles and work through the idiosyncrasies of buying real estate in other countries. In any language, home buying is an emotional experience and they follow along for the ride.

People do not do it for the money, as they don’t get paid for being on the show. Most want to share their story. For us, we want our friends back home to realize we are not crazy to move to the south of France following our long desire to live in Europe.

It is easy to see why so many people fall in love with France. For us, the sense of community and the great outdoor weather year round made us stay.

Our story, our family adventure, brought us to this region looking for a new life. Filming House Hunters in February, we get to inspire others thinking about doing the same. Why not start living your best life today? If that means moving abroad, then follow your dreams and make it happen.

They plan to come back after the renovations are completed to show their viewers the before and after shots.
